On a shield blazoned as follows: Azure, issuant from base a gauntlet Argent (Silver Gray), grasping a stylized mine Sable. Attached above the shield a yellow scroll, edged blue and inscribed MCMRON 5 in golden yellow letters, and edged in blue. Attached beneath the shield a blue bi-parted scroll inscribed to the left OUR WAKE and to the right YOUR PATH in yellow letters.
Blue and gold are the colors traditionally associated with the United States Navy. The gauntlet is a symbol of MCMRON 5s capacity to promote a secure maritime environment.
